Bellavente Wind Quintet

The story of the Bellavente Wind Quintet weaves its way through some of the finest universities and music conservatories in our nation and onto the concert stages of the San Francisco Bay Area. It was there the Bellavente musicians met while pursuing their passion for classical and contemporary music, performing with leading chamber music ensembles and symphony, opera and ballet orchestras of San Francisco and its environs.

Bellavente was selected for five seasons as resident woodwind quintet of the San Francisco Symphony Adventures in Music Program, performing more than 130 educational concerts per season for children in the San Francisco schools. From classical to traditional folk song, ragtime to Gershwin, marches to contemporary, Bellavente entertains through music, story and song.

Bellavente is a recipient of a Parents’ Choice Approved Award for their CD for children titled “Frogs and Friends, Music and Stories for Children with the Bellavente Wind Quintet”. The Parents’ Choice Award Reviewer wrote “Good albums of classically inspired music for children are rarer than one might think... This album is a lovely and exciting way to introduce children to the joys of classical music."
